Mark Stacey has worked as a freelance illustrator since 1986, during which time he has specialised in historical and archaeological reconstructions and military history.

​He uses traditional paint-on-paper illustration techniques, and his extensive portfolio of highly detailed, figurative work includes commissions from some of the UK’s leading publishers, as well as the National Trust and Natural England.

His clients include: Osprey Publishing, Harper Collins, Dorling Kindersley and Oxford University Press.
